The Conn Man steps onto the Sports Corner with former Syracuse Orange guard Tony "Red" Bruin for another exciting one on one about basketball, life and the journey Tony went on that led him to Syracuse University where played under the great coach Jim Boeheim for 4 seasons! Unfortunately, due to unforeseen technically difficulties the 2nd half of this podcast was lost but don't miss an awesome 30 minutes with this another great basketball mind!

Mr. Victor Tavares is a singer and former member of the singing group Tavares. He will be performing at the Conn Man's July 3rd celebration and he took some time to sit with the Conn Man before the big event to talk about his musical journey which started at the age of 7, his experiences singing in a group that got to travel the world and some of the advantages of singing in a group with people you shared blood and a household with!

Mr. Len Ramos and Mr. Peter Brito are The Conn Man's guest for this weeks episode. They are here to promote an upcoming parade and event on the 4th of July celebrating the legacy of the late Antone "Toi" Fortes. They had some challenges getting the event off the ground but listen to hear how with the help of the community, Mr. Ramos was able to help organize this amazing event celebrating a man who gave so much to so many for so long. Then Mr. Brito joins the show to tell some stories about Toi and The Conn Man and why doing this event was so important to him.

Al McClain is a Massachusetts basketball legend, a UNH record holder and former Houston Rocket guard. He joins the Conn Man this week to discuss a wide range of things from how the two basketball heads first met, what got Al to develop his skills and grow into the player that still holds record at UNH to this day, being drafted by the Rockets in the same draft class as Hakeem and Jordan and the great work that Al has done since graduating and continues to do to this day to help youth in the area.

Mosadi Caldwell is a New Bedford native who has been hooping it up from NB to Providence to Brewster Academy over to UNH and back to the 508. Hear him sit down with The Conn Man and go one on one about his his basketball journey, what it was like playing alongside current PC Friars head coach Ed Cooley and a bunch of other amazing opportunities he has received along the way through basketball!

On the latest episode, The Conn Man welcomes a local legend onto the show and really a man who needs no introduction across the Greater New Bedford area, the Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of New Bedford, Mr. Rob Mendes! Listen to hear how Rob got started in coaching, when and why he joined the Boys and Girls Club and what inspires him to continue to give so much of himself to his community for so many years.

First he is joined by local promoter extraordinaire Lorraine Benoit Telo as she discusses what got her into the music business, some of the awesome shows she has been a part of and a couple of local events is putting on this month that you will not want to miss. Then Mike is joined by the one and only Ivery Bell... entertainer, performer and former lead singer of Blue Magic. Ivery talks about taking the stage at Apollo at a very young age, coming up in the music business and his experience singing throughout the years in various group and locations.

The Conn Man welcomes his old tag team partner, the one and only Brian Magnett onto this weeks show!
