This week I'm joined by Top Golf Course Designer Bill Bergin and 2014 Georgia PGA Teacher of the Year Kevin Roman. Bill Bergin updates us on what's going on with several of his course design and restoration projects like The McLemore, Waterfall, and Oaks Country Club, which is down the street from this week's PGA Championship at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bill gives me advice on how to play McLemore since my buddies and I are headed back there this week for our annual golf trip. McLemore is an award-winning design and the 18th hole has been named one of the Top 10 Finishing Holes in all of golf. We also hear about his experience playing in the 1984 Open Championship at St. Andrews when he finished 14th and his 3rd round 66 was tied for the best round of the tournament. Top Instructor, Kevin Roman shares his memories from playing in the 2009 PGA Championship at Hazeltine. he talks about being paired with Matt Kuchar and Louie Oosthuizen. We also hear about the practice round he played with Louie and Rory McIlroy and how far Louie outdrove Rory. We get some great chipping tips including set-up, ball position, and club selection. Plus, how much his new Srixon ZX irons and Cleveland Golf wedges have improved his play including hitting 2 flagsticks on his approach shots during his qualifying round for the US Senior Open.
